I just purchased my first Jaguar, a 2005 XK8 Convertible Jaguar Racing Green. I’ll be visiting this site many times for information about my Jag. Right now it looks like my rotors are a little rough. Can I have them turned to smooth them out? Is there a minimum thickness for the rotors? I’m also looking for the best way to remove scuff marks in the paint, any polishes that may buff these out without painting? Any help will be appreciated.

I tried turning rotors in the eighties on domestic cars but back then they were already thin and quickly warped. I've always bought new ones since, when they got ragged.
Usually the aftermarket were better than the originals. I put over 100,000 miles on the replacements with no problems. A good body shop can buff it for $100 or so and bring the paint back I think. If your not very practiced, it's easy to wear through the paint.
Enjoy the drive.

Welcome to the forum Toops,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
Minimum recommended brake disc thickness depends on whether you have Standard or Brembo brakes:

I never have them turned but some members do.
For the paint scuffs, I recommend you post photos in XK8/XKR forum for advice.
