Purchased a 2002 XK8 convertible in 2010 with about 33,000. One previous owner that kept it in excellent shape. This is my first Jag. I use it in local annual parades to carry dignatries. I live in Southern California.
Except a fuel pump replacement in the first year, the car has been problem free, just regular maintenance, until this past year. Now the car has 75,000 miles and recently I had to replace the water pump, upper strut bushings and struts in the front, and the thermostat housing and hoses. The mechanic, though not Jaguar certified, seems to be very competent and honest.
Currently, the computer has started to display concurrently the ASB, TRAC, and ENGINE COOLANT LOW warning light occasionally. Two weeks ago, the car made a loud pop and stalled on the freeway. Fortunately, was able to coast to the side of the road. After a few minutes, the car started up and has behaved normally, except for warning lights.
I’m using the forum to help me diagnose the problems. It is a big help. I appreciate the comments to similar posts.

Could save me some money on my current problem.
