Default Intro

I am wannabe Jag owner...actually I do own 2 1986 X6 Jaguars that were gifts to me.

They were to be merged together into 1. Unfortunately, we no longer have a garage and it just tears my heart out to see them sitting, waiting, when someone else could be putting them together and driving one of them as it should be.

So, I will be posting them eventually in the For Sale/Classified section to be sold for someone else to have the privilege of driving one, once it is restored to it original beauty.

Thanks.

Welcome to the forum KatVA,

The 1986 could be Series III or XJ40 as both were produced in that year. Please remember this is a forum for enthusiasts owning, running and repairing Jaguars and we have restrictions on the use of the 'For Sale' section.

Follow this link XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the Series 111 section or this one XJ40 - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XJ40 section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top of each is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You may also like to visit the US Mid Atlantic Region section by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/mid-atlantic-md-va-dc-de-wv-65/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forum.

Graham

Welcome to the forum, KatVA!

Maybe you could talk a local Technical College or Community College into working on the project for you. They sometimes need some higher-end foreign cars to use as teaching aids / projects. Maybe they could get both of the cars up and running?

Worth a shot!

Welcome to the forum and +1 on Bruce's recommendation - have seen some excellent repairs/mods come out of the local tech college.
