hi everyone
ime sure i introduced myself before but for ages i couldent log in to the forum no idea why, but now on this sunny but cold morning
in kent uk i managed to log in , i own an s type 1999 3.0 se i purchased from a consultant doctors estate in 2010, then sold to a friend, then his brother purchased the car.
the car had approx 60 thou miles when i owned it in 2010, now 70 thou miles, its emerald green metallic which imo suits the car perfectly.
after the owner passed, i repurchased the s type which needed work to brakes body engine and some tidying,
passed mot inspection for the 3 years since, i allways liked the x350 so recent purchase of a 3.0 se sat nav heated seats etc in zircon blue,
when i started to service car all sparkplugs stuck solid, i removed inlet manifold, and rocker covers to deal with minor oil weeps, also removed the 2 imt
units which were sealed with red goo cleaned up and new orings on, after soaking the plugs in carb clean and release oil mix many times it took a few days to remove the last 2, now new ngk x6 and all new gaskets as required 3 coils on rh bank for peace of mind, car runs well, usual headlining drop, and some paint required on bumpers etc.
good to be back hope to get some good advice again with the x350 onward....
