Hello everyone. I hope I won't be ostracized for owning a different British vehicle. I am a MINI owner, but have been trying to encourage my Jag-owner partner to start working on his car himself instead of exclusively going to the mechanic. My dad has always been my mechanic, which has saved a lot on costs! I like to think I help him out. We've replaced the front bumper (following an accident), the clutch, and the stereo system (put in CarPlay) ourselves. Our project this winter is to put in a backup camera and teach my partner to drive stick on our 2000s beater Jeep. I enjoy working on my car and am hoping to encourage my partner to share this sentiment. So, I am joining this forum to learn my way around the Jag world.
This is my car, Bernard, if anyone is interested. He is a manual transmission 2012 Mini Cooper Hardtop. This is my partner's 2000 XJ8, we call him "McJagger."
Welcome aboard, you don’t need to be a jaguar owner/driver to join and certainly are most welcome. My daughter drives a 2015 manual Mini Cooper…lots of fun!
If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.

Hello,
LOL @ McJagger!! A good strong sense of humor is the Most important thing one can own when working on a Jaaaag!
And, we don't mind that you drive a Mini, at least it's a RED Mini (RED is my second favorite right after BLACK!) and it started out British, guess it still sort of is......
