Introducing myself
Hi all Jaguar lovers,
I have just joined or maybe rejoined the group - I live in Victoria Australia. I have a 2007 Jaguar S type 'Luxury' with the 3.0 petrol V6 engine. It's done only 127000 km (about 80000mls) and is in good condition. The only fault is a fuel gauge that does it's own thing ( apparently a common fault with the solder joints in the instrument cluster) and the headlining is starting to come unstuck.
It is Lunar grey with beige leather, has 19" BBS alloys and mesh grille like the R model.
I have just had the aircon condenser replaced and a new battery. This is my 3rd Jaguar - the first was a 1959 3.4; the second was a 1986 Sovereign. I have also owned a 1968 Daimler 250. As much as I would love to keep the S type, I must admit I have concerns about it's potential for electrical problems, so we will wait and see. No immediate plans to sell it.
I am a member of the Victorian Jaguar car club, but they don't have many runs in my region.
I hope you all have a Happy Christmas and New year.
Regards, Roger Darby

Welcome to the forums Roger,
Good to have you with us.
I can see you've already found your way to the S-Type forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the Australia - Victoria / Tasmania Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/a...a-tasmania-94/ to find other members in your region.
Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.
Enjoy the forums.
Graham
