introduction
Hi my name is Steve I bought a 1997 Jaguar XK8 about 3 or 4 yrs ago I liked it so much last year I bought a 2008 XKR. I gave the 97 to my girlfriend who loved it. I live in Wilmington NC on the coast. So we have his and her jags.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Well done on both counts.
Had to read more carefully when I got to ".......she loved it........", and I instantly went to past tense, for both her and the car, but, like a champ, you cleared that up well.
