Default jag parts store online

I am a new member and having some difficulty to be sure and follow the rules. so will try from here.
I am looking for a good parts supplier. Obviously, one that has some knowledge about Jaguars. Specifically, I am looking for a valve (pressure?) for the transmission of a 2003 Jag type S. I believe it is the main valve controlling the shifting of the automatic transmission. So if anyone knows a good parts house perhaps one that advertises in the forum, I would be grateful for a name and number.

Welcome to the Forums.

Jaguar NEVER got involved with the internals of Auto transmissions. I was Parts Manager for Jaguar for a good while, and apart from speedo driven gears, trans filters odd seals, etc, that was it.

The various agents, Borg Warner (old DG, 35, 65, 66), GM (TH400 etc), ZF, (4HP22/24. 5HP, 6HP), AND the many transmission specialists got into actual innards parts.

Yours is a ZF transmission, used in many, many cars.

Any Auto Trans Parts Supplier in your area should have that item.

You could try any of the Suppliers that support this site. but I doubt any will get that involved with those types of items.

Welcome to the forum Richard,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

Jaguar Dealers in the UK farm out transmission repairs/rebuilds to transmission specialists and I'd be surprised if US Dealers are any different.

I can see you've already found your way to the S-Type forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

You can also visit the US Northwest Region forum by following this link
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-northwest-64/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
