I just purchased my first Jaguar. It's a mint condition 97 XK8 convertible with 70,000. It's absolutely perfect but I was a little nervous about my purchase. I have heard so many negative things on the reliability of Jags wasn't sure if it was the right thing to do but just couldn't resist this car. Hope to learn allot in this forum. Glad to be aboard.

Welcome to the forum Porkenstein, head on over to the XK8 section and you'll find members who can tell you just how reliable your car can be.

Hi Porkenstein,

I'm also relatively new to the forum. People here are concerned and helpful so jump right in! Good luck!

Welcome! Being a new owner I too had those same concerns, but it sounds like the reliability is less of a concern in the newer models. I guess we're in now and we'll see!

Welcome to the forum,

I think you are going to love the car, and maybe hate it some days! Have fun.
