Just joined the forum.
Hi,
I am the owner of an S type 2003 2.5, this car was imported from Japan, I managed to change the language, FM bands and load the correct firmware to the SATNAV (despite Jaguar NZ saying latter the was impossible !!!).
My latest project has been to add Voice and Bluetooth to the car.
Non of the Japanese cars are wired for phone or voice so this was a bit of a project but not huge problem as Jaguar electrical guides are excellent.
The Voice + Phone/Bluetooth module + the connectors + optic fibre lead where obtained second hand (EBAY UK).
The microphone is already fitted as it is used for some control of the Japanese version of the SATNAV software.
I got hold of part of a Ford Mondeo wiring loom which contained all the correct wire colours to match the Jaguar diagrams.
All the necessary connections for the modules are easily made as all the circuits are shared by other existing modules close by.
I was heartened when all worked first time !!!
The next job is to replace the headlining are the Kiwi sun is has taken is toll on the sponge rubber backing.
The car is just a joy to drive (for the same price I could have bought a new Toyota Corolla but sanity prevailed and I have the Jag).

Welcome to the forum M G F JONES,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
A number of members have wrestled with the settings in Japanese imports (mainly NZ but some of these are also finding their way to Europe now) but have not made as much progress as you.
Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ed-v8-x200-15/ to the S-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the New Zealand Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/new-zealand-97/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.
Graham
