Hello! I'm from Machesney Park, Illinois and I just became the proud owner of a 2001 S-type 4.0, anthracite exterior, with 65,900 miles! Looking forward to conversing with others who are as smitten with their Jaguar as I am with mine!

Welcome to the forum marychef,

(I've moved your first post from the end of Mo Kankasa's Intro thread to a new one of your own.)

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ed-v8-x200-15/ to the S-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Midwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-midwest-39/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

From one S-type owner to another... Welcome! They ARE pretty cars and you will find that strangers will compliment you on yours and ask what year it is... the retro styling is timeless.

Thanks everyone for making me feel welcome! I have to say - that quote from Doug is exactly what it feels like to drive my S-Type!

Welcome and congratulations to the world of Jaguar ownership.
Although I was involved in a lot of the engineering of various Jaguars from 1996-2007, I was never a 'Jaguar man' but as Ive gotten older and emigrated to the USA I have become one.
I love my XJR more and more everyday!

Enjoy
