Default Member back after buying another jag

Hi everyone, Old member returning after purchasing a Jag again. From N.Ireland was a member before many years ago had a Jag XJ8 1998 in the purple colour. After selling it on (wish I hadn't loved that car) I moved to Maserati, first a 3200 then a Quattroporte, but have Now purchased a 5 year old Jaguar XJ X351 portfolio which I find amazing to drive. Wanted the Indigo Blue with Londan leather and brown dash but after months of searching had to settle for a Black one with cream leather and dark grey dash.
I'm a heating engineer so a busy guy running My own company. Will try to post pics of cars I've had and still have when I get a chance, but for now Hi again from David.

Welcome back. I am curious to hear how you'd compare the Quattroporte to the new XJ?

Welcome back to the forums David,

Good to have you with us.

I can see you've already found your way to the X351 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

The Jaguar is more refined inside than the Maserati, it's also more comfortable to drive, or as a passenger and is a lot cheaper to repair and maintain than the quattroporte. The Maserati is more of a statement Car is lovely to drive and being the V8 and a few upgrades the note from the exhaust I will miss.

I considered a Maserati 3200 before buying my previous 2007 XK. A close thing but the ability to repair anything more easily on the Jaguar swung the decision for me. It could still be one of those "itches I've got to scratch" in future as I can't see anything attractive in Jaguar's forthcoming range.
