Michael
I guess this is what the forum wants for new member intros.
My name is Michael. I live in Santa Fe, NM and drive a 1969 KKE open top car with steel wheels and a removable hardtop.
i bought the car from a prior owner who had put it up wet in an air conditioned hanger for something over 15 years. I spent 4 years of interrupted time in fully removing and refreshing all systems. It drives like a new car, but the paint is tired and, for now I will leave it that way in the interest of driving without worry of road rash or other offenses to new paint.
My only bugaboo with this car are never-ending electrical issues. Right now, I’m replacing my eight-pin bonnet connector and I need advice!
Specifically, I would like to know if there is any way to attach the male end of the eight pin connector without removing the bonnet again or removing the left headlight diaphragm panel.
Can it be successfully accessed through the opening in the left side inside radiator opening and by also removing the left headlight and directional housings?

Hello, Michael,
Congratulations on all your hard work getting that E-type this far.
I applaud your decision to leave the paint as is, making it a Driver.
Stuff happens to Drivers, and I would think it takes a Lot of the fun out of it if one is constantly worried about bugs and rock chips in an expensive, newish paint job.
Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
