Assuming seller and I can work something out should be owner of 2001 xjr this evening. Hopefully combines my desire for a nice sporty sedan with also wanting something to play with.

It did not.

1. Lot of chip dings, some rust bubbles on back sill and down by driver rear tire.
2. Based on everyone's feedback I expected a fairly smooth ride with gobs of power. It was fast but more like Lincoln Continental fast not supercharger fast. Very big concern... Our other vehicle is a 300hp 5200 lb Volvo XC60 and it was no where near as head snapping.
3. Ride was something like my 09 Chevy HHR service van when it needed new struts. To be fair had snow tires on it but was still not what I was looking for. And really, wouldnt you have the tires changed out before selling in May???
4. Shimmy from rear brakes. Owner was providing new discs and pads but really do that before someone drives.

Very disappointed but still looking.

That's too bad, but keep looking! It should certainly ride better and move better than what you describe!

Disappointing for you but very wise to walk away.

Fixing minor bodywork and suspension on any Jaguar soon chews up $$ and it's always worth the wait to find a good one.
