Default Mr Alf my friends call me....

Hi I'm a long term jaguar owner. Have had a few now. Although I will say I'm not sure my current Ford/BMW S Type counts... Thoughts anyone?

My current issue is my S Type 2003 3.0l se which I love driving when it lets me....

Cooling issues are driving me crazy.

Fuses checked.

Fan motor module changed and tested using AC test. Electronic circuit tester. Rev meter. And an airflow test.

I have pressure tested the entire system. Holding steady at 7psi for 60 mins.

All pipes, joints, heater matrix and jubilee clips renewed and no longer those dodgy pressure nonsense things that rust lose grip and leak or worse snap.

Heater valve at the base of the radiator renewed.

Thermostat renewed.

Coolant drained 4 times and cleaned with Holt's flush.

Water flow exceptional.

Head gaskets tested with coolant blow through device. No gases.

Expansion tank replaced twice.

Expansion tank cap replaced 4 times.

Everything is OEM.

Have not replaced rad. Although it is original and flow is great.

What I have noticed is that my radiator is dang hot right the way across after not very long. My fan kicks in and us cooling at great speed.

And after this much money thrown at it the system is running very much in mint condition.

No coolant sealer has ever been used on this car. Ever.

I am stumped.

And because of coronavirus I'm am now at the end of my tether, rope, out of will power, money, hope, and basically am about to beat it to death with a large sledge hammer followed by a cricket bat a minidigger and 5 litres of petrol.....

When the heck did this disaster get ok'd with anyone working at jaguar
I have rebuilt 2 jaguar xjs's V12 he's why the Fing hell won't this stupid piece of ford crud work....

Please help..... Anybody..... I love this car but if it's taking me down..... It's coming with me....

First, welcome to the forum. I am sorry your cat is being SO. It sounds like you have replaced almost the entire system. Im sure the members who are more familiar with your car will give you something to go on. Hopefully youll both come out alive!

Hello, Greg,
I have heard some S-type owners (and some X-type owners) refer to their cars as Forduars.
Other S-type owners (along with some X-type owners) vehemently object to that label calling it Derogatory.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
