Default My Jaguar will not stay running

Hello Nina here from Beebe Arkansas and I am new here.
I have a 2003 Jaguar XJ8. When I bought my jag would not start and I was told that it was the fuel pump. (Yes we got it extremely cheap). We checked the fuel pump and it was in pieces inside the gas tank. We replaced the fuel pump and the fuel filter. The car will not run. We have changed the relays in the trunk. The guy working on it says that he checked the inertia cut off switch. It is getting gas to the rail and it starts but it won't stay running.once the gas is used, it acts like something is telling it ok we don't need more gas. I have checked and replaced alot of stuff. What else can be causing this?

Thanks everyone,

Nina

Welcome.

Not a good start, but fixable, like all Jags.

Your 2003 should be what is known as the X350, alloy bodied car, and 4.2L V8 engine.

I suggest a re-ask in the X350 Tech Section, where answers will be forthcoming.
