Default NcJag98xjr

Hello everyone,
I recently took ownership of a 98 jaguar xjr with the intentions of using the front and rear subframes and drivetrain in my 57 f100 project
lol, I may have bitten off more then I can chew on this one but I'm going to give it a good shot. I am hoping to find more knowledge then I have on a myriad of different technical topics including wiring and computer programming.
this car is a lot more complicated than anything I have jumped in to yet.
My name is Bruce and I live in North Carolina, it's good to meet everyone if these forums are as active as my ford forums I'm sure to learn a lot.
looking forward to meeting individuals and sharing back what I hope to learn here, thanks and have a great day

Heres my donor girl, not in too bad a shape either. Paid 1200 in the hopes of making most of that back on leftover parts

And here is the recipient i think she will make a right nice cruiser with the jag parts transplanted

Welcome to the forums Bruce,

Rear subframes are a regular donor. Fronts not so frequent, possibly because there's often corrosion issues with the crossmember and the wishbone bushes don't last too long.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xj-xj8-xjr-x308-27/ to the X308 forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Good luck with your project and enjoy the forums.

Graham
