Default New to the forum. I drive a 2005 jaguar X type 3.0

Hi my name is Gary. I live in Ocean Springs Mississippi, I drive a 2005 jaguar X type 3.0 and I love it! I have a problem I need help with. While doing a tuneup and changing spark plugs, I had to take off the manifold to change three of the spark plugs. When putting the manifold back on, the vacuum that attaches to the back of the manifold broke I am attaching pictures because I need help knowing what it is called so I can order or get a new one. I don't know what this attaches to on the other end. You will see in the picture that it is an orange colored hose. It was covered with a black sheath that came off and I assume will need to be replaced? Thank you in advance for any help

Gary,

It looks good.

Changes to Signatures show up on the next post - not immediately. This confuses a lot of members!

Gary,

Forum sponsor S N G Barratt lists the part you need and are unlikely to be beaten on price:

(click on the image to enlarge it)

They usually also offer a discount for forum members.

Tech questions should be posted in the X-Type forum. Once Intro threads have been read, not many members come back to them again.

Well, i finally got the vacuum hose, and installed it. Original problem still exists. So my ck engine light has been on for a bit and my car started to jerk occasionally. Its not happening during gear shifting, but just randomly. Sometimes it happens when i take off from a stop light, sometimes it happens when I am driving down the interstate. I went to Autozone and they ck'd the dx codes. They basically said i needed a tune up. I changed all 6 spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter, and since you have to take off the manifold to change 3 of the plugs, when I found the broken vacuum hose, I ordered it, put the hose on today, put the manifold back on and the car is pretty much back to where it was. I was really expecting the broken vacuum hose to have been the problem...but the car Still jerks when I am driving it. Just randomly, and the ck engine light is still on. I am at a loss. I do not have a clue what else to do, or what could cause the car to jerk like it is, but it is extremely annoying, and can't be good for the car. Any thoughts? Just to let you know, I am not a pro at this, and in fact learn most of the things that I do on a car, here or you tube. Thanks in advance everyone!!
