Default New Guy

Hello.. I'm looking at purchasing my first Jaguar. Its a 1968 xke coupe project. Ive always liked the E type and I have found a reasonably priced project. I'm just wondering if its more then a new Jag guy should take on and if its even worth fixing up. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I think that with the expertise freely available on this forum a mechanically inclined individual could do most anything he or she put their mind to. If you haven't already, post up all the details of your proposal in the E-type section and see what those guys say. Welcome.

What a very cool way to start your Jaguar life! You gotta start somewhere, 1968 is as good a place as any. For sure you'll find help and assistance in here.
Welcome from ElinorB.

Welcome to the forum rod4314,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

Definitely worth fixing up but only makes economic sense if you can do most of the work yourself. Expertise on this model is expensive.

I can see you've already found your way to the E-Type tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

You can also visit the USA Central Region forum by following this link USA Central - MT WY CO ND SD NE KS - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.
