I'm a new member from Austin, Tx with a 2003 XJR. I have had the car for about nine months. It is a great machine that was well cared for by the previous owner. My trunk lid is due for new support struts. I have purchased new struts and want to install them. My problem is getting access to the shaft end of the strut to disconnect it. Anybody know a smart way to do this?

2003 was a model change year. Do you have the earlier steel bodied X308 or later aluminium bodied X351?
