Default New guy from Long Island

Greetings to everyone on this forum.

My name is Peter and I live on Long Island, New York. I have been observing this forum for 2 years and the time has come to finally participate.

2 in October of 2012, I traded my Harley for a 1988 XJS Hess & Eisenhardt Convertible. It is a v12. The car was located 150 miles from my house, so I trucked my Harley down and drove the Jaguar back. The car ran awsome for the 130 miles I had clear road. Then I hit bumper to bumper traffic for the last 20 or so miles. Still no problems. No overheating. There was a gas smell in the car. The top was up.

If you remember, Tropical Storm Sandy hit us a week later. Since I wasn't going to use the Jaguar for a while, we used the gas that was in it for other cars. I then lost my job and did not have the resources to get it on the road. I am now in the process of getting it on the road and look forward to sharing the experience on this forum. Any suggestions on what to change for a fresh start-up would be appreciated.
