Default New Here, Canada - Need engine help!

Hey there,

New to the forum. Need some advice with my car. It was running fine until yesterday, now the ending is revving up, going down, back up, then down to a slow choke and shuts off. I switched out the battery today as it was the original still in there and thought I may just be having power issues. I haven't switched the auxiliary as I can't find one near me yet, and I don't think it would be causing these issues anyways. Any advice is much appreciated! I can't upload the video so I will share link here.

Cheers, ans TIA!

Dave

As I commented on another forum, my best guess is a timing chain has stretched/loosened and skipped a cog tooth or two, and if so you probably have pistons hitting valves. If that is the case it's bad news and the engine is unlikely to be economically repairable.
