New here, my intro

I am new to the forum. Last week purchased a 2011 XJL. Here is the story, started off with a 2005 Lexus sc430, nice car but was getting a bit dated for me in regard to features. Traded up to a 2007 LS 460, a car I thought I wanted for some time. The 460 was nice, lots of features but it was like driving a computer, very isolated from the road. Decided it just wasn’t me off I went looking for some that was luxurious but also somewhat sporty. Looked at Mercedes S550 nice car but not too much different from my Lexus (in my opinion). Tried Audi, didn’t do much for me, even looked at Cadillac (what was I thinking). Happen to go by the Jaguar dealer and thought ok let’s at least look. Now while I have always liked British cars I was skittish about the reliability. In the early 70’s had two MGBs and a Triumph TR7. Fun cars but you know the saying, don’t drive it further than you can walk home. So I pull in thinking I would look at an XF, then I saw the XJ sitting there. Once I sat inside it was all over, I had to have this car! The test drive didn’t do anything to convince me otherwise, one hour later I was driving it home. Dealer gave me a good trade on my Lexus so it was relatively painless, but it didn’t matter I was taking home the Jag. It’s a 2011 with 29K, grey exterior and I just love it. Great car to tool around Phoenix. Also have a 2014 Lexus IS 250 (fun but small), a 2010 Lexus RX 350 and a Honda Ridgeline. This is the first non-Japanese car I have purchased in over 20 years. I am hoping this Jaguar will be as reliable as it is fun. OK maybe I don’t care if it’s not super reliable because it’s so much fun.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
