Hi, my name is Eric Brugal Iacobone (half Dominican and Half Italian), I live in the Dominican Republic. Just now owner of a 2001 Jaguar S Type 3.0 V6 Seafrost.
My Story bigins with my father, he was in the US Navy with base in Italy (that's where he meet my mom) back to the car Story... At that time He loved the 1963 - 1968 Jaguar S Type. In 1982 he moved back to the Dominican Republic (with my mom), he try to search for one of the 60's S Type without luck (non in the DR). When he knew that Jaguar was going to make an S Type again with resembles of the 60's S type he was so happy, so he ended up buying a 2001 Jaguar S Type 3.0 V6 Seafrost, it was his little girl, he loved that car. More or less 3 years ago he was diagnosed with colon cancer, he got the cancer removed by surgery but he stopped using the car while he recovered from the surgery and get his colon connected again. Finally this year was going to be possible to connect his colon again, but in the process of all the exams he was diagnosed again with cancer, this time stomach cancer. Sadly this time it was too late for him, he passed away last month (November 2020), and Untill the end he was against of selling the Jaguar.
Right now I was going to wright that I was planning today to tell my mom that I wanted to buy the car from her and restore it to keep it (didn't want any body to buy the car), but just now she call to tell me that my dad always told her that if something happened to him he wanted me to have the car, because he knew that I will restore the car and take good care of it. Here in the Dominican Republic the will of a deceased person doesn't work, by law you'll have to give 50% to the wife (my mom in this case) and the other 50% divided in equal part to each of the sons and daughters. So she talk to my brother and my sister and told them that she wanted to fulfill my father's wishes to give me the car, and they had agreed. So now I have enhered the S Type, I have to make some repair on the exterior, paint job (someone hit the car while park and disattach the right side of the bumper, and the clear coat on the rear bumper was damaged by the sun), change hydraulic pump, buy tires, buy the leaping jaguar (someone took it off). In the interior some plastics have been damaged by the sun, an air vent, the arm rest console disattach, the dash wood grain have some cracks I think it was by the sun too, one of the rear cup holders won't stay in, repair the glove box it's opening completely, and some other things. I will be adding some new stuff but I will tell you guys later. Probably I will need some help and information about things to repair from you guys
I was searching for a few weeks of forums about Jaguar and found you guys, Happy to be part of this community.
Here are some Photos of the car

Hello, Eric,
I'm sorry to read of your father's death. Such a loss for you.
I'm glad to know the family wants to fulfill his wishes concerning his car though, that shows great respect for the man.
