New Jaguar owner
I just bought my first Jaguar. I owned Triumphs in the 70's when I was a kid, always thought the E type was the pinnacle of sports cars. I have owned other great cars like 911's, Macan, SL 500, Factory Five Cobra (very fast). Have stayed away from British cars because of their notorious reliability issues. The last TR4 I had started squirting fuel all over the engine, so I got rid of it. I currently drive a Tesla Model X, which I love.
I have been looking at the older XKRs when I found out what a bargain they are and that many of the issues of the old days are better now. They are still beautiful, so I bought a 2004 Portfolio XKR. Haven't even received it yet. I split my time between Oregon and Palm Springs, but plan to keep the Jag in California, after I register it in Oregon.
That is a short story about my love for cars. Looking forward to driving a Jaguar in he California sunshine.

Welcome to the forums PSP,
Good to have you with us.
I can see you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/western-us-ak-ca-nv-ut-hi-wa-id-38/ to find other members in your region.
Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.
Enjoy the forums.
Graham
