Default New member 11 Jaguar XF camshaft position sensor

Hi new member to the jaguar ownership. I live in Atlanta Geargia just Brought a 2011 Jaguar XF from the dealers auction in september. I try to diy when possible on the small stuff. What brings me to the forum., well a problem with a camshaft position sensor on bank 1 sensor A. On initial start up if the car is cold the rpm rev for about 45 secs and if I drive off I get a check engine light and reduce performance light after 5 minutes the reduce performance clears and the check engine light goes away after about 50 miles. If I let the car warm up I don’t get a check engine light at all. Scanned and pulled camshaft sensor code. Where are the camshaft position sensors located.. does this sound like a failure of the sensor

Welcome to the Forums.

The XF Tech Section is the place for that answer.

BUT

What engine are we sorting, V6 or V8, makes a huge difference.

Good luck.
