Hi all, just bought my 1st Jag, it's a1999 V reg s type 4ltr V8.
Took a chance on the car as it had no MOT or Tax and was royally bit on the ***. No sills, rotten subframe with completely snapped off wishbone mount, blown back box n 2 illegal tyres lol. Ah well do-do happens!!!!!
Upshot is I'm 750 quid lighter but the car now has full MOT!
Always wanted a Jag, have finally got my Jag and on the plus side....she won't fail on rotten sills or rotten n dangerous subframe next year lol

Cheers gents,
there was no way I was giving up on the car and sending her to scrap heaven...took me ages to talk the wife into letting me get a Jag so a 'bit' of rust wasn't spoiling my party lol.
I joined here because my gearbox is slow to select and I was told it was probably a stretched cable....found the link and the how to sort it no problem so that's another small issue I'll sort out.
Looking forward to taking care of the old girl n changing a few things as I go, for now I'll catch up with you all later,
