Hi All,

Just to mention that I've been the owner of an Xtype for 8 years.
not a mechanic at all, but a DYO and I have visited previously the forum as visitor. I want to thank in advance all of you as the information here was able to allow me to keep my car in good shape at a very fair cost.

Why a Jaguar? it is a long story of seeing one parked in a mansion when I grew up I simply liked how that MKII looked and said to myself I will once get any jag.

thanks

Welcome to the forum Mayorjagx7,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

It sounds like you've already found your way to the X-Type tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Thank you all moderators , Don B , Norri, GGG ,Sklimii, Jimc64, 01xjr.
for your kind help with info and welcome words.

I do not log in very frequently but will try not to be unthankful and let a lot of time in between .
The amazing info in the forum is because all contribute and I would force myself to follow up to taking pictures or sharing my experience which I have not done before.
perhaps also because I am kind of shy person.

Hello Elinor,

yes, it is possible, it takes time to research but a lot of info is here and I always read more than one tread related to the issue.
Of course you have to have some tools and find a way to borrow some as needed and the willing to have the satisfaction of accomplishment once you are able to do it.

Well also have to accept that I haven't come across really mayor problems with my jag.

will shoot pictures next time I have to do any task.

cheers

Thanks Five Speed, agreed, perhaps the S-type has more of the old MK look but the X -type is not bad in the retro look.
