Default Hello from Adelaide, Australia

Hello from Adelaide, Australia. Been a member for a while now but haven't introduced myself.

I own a 1977 Series 2 XJ4.2 which makes it way out occasionally. I know the Series 2's are not the most loved of Jaguars, but I have always liked the look of them since I was a kid.

The car is in fairly good original condition, but one day in need of new paint. Currently tidying up the interior--all part of a 10 year project!

One day hope to own an X306 XJR.

Regards,
Dave

Hello, Dave,
Depends on who you ask. We have several Series IIs in our Xj6 section, mine is one.

Welcome from ElinorB.

Welcome to the forum Dave,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

Follow Clarke's link in post #2 to the XJ6 Series I, II & III forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Welcome, Dave.

I, too, have been a long-time fan of Jaguars, but just purchased my first one about 2 1/2 years ago, a 2012 XJL. Just traded it in last night and picked up a 2014 XJL. Hope to have an F-Type one day.

BTW, my wife and I will be making our first trip Down Under in January. At the end of February we'll be in Adelaide for a day or two before boarding a train through the Outback to Alice Springs. We're really looking forward to the overall trip.

Default Welcome to Jaguar Forums

Hi Dave . . . and belated welcome and greetings from a near neighbout like Clarke. We are delighted to have you join us here on JaguarForums, and trust your experience here is one full of friendship and helpful support. Like Elinor B and several others, my days with the Series 2, albeit a V12 Daimler VanDen Plas which I found progressively more and more difficult to prize out of my wife's hands, were full of admiring comments from others . . . whether friends or total strangers.

More to the point, I am sure that once your Regional Co-ordinator Grant Francis is able to welcome you himself, that you will then find yourself surrounded by several other members in the Adelaide area . . . many of whom are XJ owners.

May I suggest you do visit each of the Australian regional forums to check out what is happening. Dive in . . . and enjoy.
Best wishes,
Ken
