Hey, I figured I should do a proper intro, I like working on old cars as a hobby and picked up a 1976 XJ6-L on a whim and the latest project began! if anyone has any input please feel free to post it on my thread, I'm mostly combining experience and (occasionally) educated guess work along with research to put this car back together properly.
I've also seen people reference JTIS telling people to check there, what is JTIS?

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
JTIS (Jaguar Technical Information System) is the CD based combined Workshop Manuals for models from 1996 to 2004. It was superseded by the current TOPIx online system. You will not find either of these are much use for your 1976 XJ6. Either the original printed Workshop Manual or a PDF copy is the appropriate information resource.
I can see you've already found your way to the XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the US Western Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/western-us-ak-ca-nv-ut-hi-wa-id-38/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.
