New to the forums and just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Robert and I'm a Commercial Photographer based out of the Boston Area.
I am the son of an avid Jaguar owner (more than a dozen models over his 76 years) and 4 years ago inherited my father's last Jaguar. A 2000 XJR that had not been driven in more than 10 years. The car is in completely original condition with only 30.5K miles. I took great care in putting the car back on the road after years of storage and other than replacing fuel pumps, fluids and tires the car is completely original. Overall the vehicle is in amazing condition and my mechanic said the underbelly of vehicle looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor. I have a few minor things I'd like to get cleaned up such as the headliner and will be using this forum to seek advice and guidance on maintaining what is a very special car to me and my family.
Thank you and look forward to sharing in this amazing community.
Welcome to the Forum, Robert. We've enjoyed all our Jaguars, and like your Dad, have had a dozen! Our 2005 looks like it was the same colour as yours, we called it the Platinum Kitty. Just a quick comment on the headliner. We replaced one using a local fabric shop, quite successfully.
Cheers,
