Welcome.

You mention X Type, then S Type, so maybe a typo on the S?

Post your issue in the X Type section if you do indeed have an X Type. There will be people in there with the answer.

It will also be a top idea to mention the specifications of YOUR car, mainly engine size etc, as each model may be different.

The battery sounds like a good place to start for the no turn over issue, and the thermostat if it overheated, coz they do jam shut sometimes.

Welcome to the forum Dugre,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the X-Type with this issue forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
