Hello fellow enthusiasts. My name is Mike, my handle is flyboy33c. I am just joining the forum. I have a 2010 XF Platinum that I use, and a 1998 XJ8 that i bought from a police repo for a project car for my son. I have many questions and I cannot wait to engage with the forum. I live in the state of Virginia, although I did live in the UK for a period in the 90's.

My first question. 2010 XF Wheel Stud. My car was serviced by the dealer under warranty, but now the warranty is up and i have taken over the service. I started a simple brake job...or though i thought. I would have thought that the dealer knew better, but i have had to cut off two rear lug nuts as they were torqued on too strong. I suspect they used an air impact and not a torque wrench. In any case, i need to replace a stud on both rear wheel hubs of my 2010 XF. I have the spindle carrier and hub off the car and separated. I am looking for a source for the studs, and i cannot seem to find one. any ideas?

Welcome, Mike.
This forum is a great place to exchange valuable information.
Are you in aviation? I just retired last month from a 35 year career in commercial aviation. I was in maintenance, first as a mechanic, then as a supervisor. Now I only want to see an airplane if it is taking me to a place that is warm and sunny.

Hell Greg, I used to fly but don't anymore. I owned a 1958 Beechcraft Travelaire (precursor to the Barron).
