Hi all,
I am new to the forum. I live in upstate NY and am a elementary school teacher. I just bought a 1991 XJS convertible. It sat dormant for 7 years until I got it. I have so far put in new brakes front and rear, a new radiator and replaced the fuel and radiator hoses. I am having issues with the speedo and temp gauge works sporatically. The speedo kicks in around 20 mph and then works fine. The trip set and odometer do not work. I replaced the transducer in the rear differential and that did not help. I also got a used transducer module from a salvage yard and the exact thing is still happening. I pulled the speedo cluster and cleaned the connections and still no help. I ordered a used speedo cluster and will try that when it comes in next week. Will keep you posted.
Thanks for the help!

Welcome to the Forums.
The XJS Tech Section will have heaps of info about your car and even that speedo.
The earlier cars benefited from a dedicated earth wire from the cluster TO a convenient body earth nearby, in lieu of using the loom earth.
That wire sorted all the cluster issues with mine about 18 years ago.
Good luck.

Welcome to the forum ajsamantha,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
I can see you've already found your way to the XJS forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the US Northeast Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-northeast-35/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.
