Hi, I'm a new member and just bought my first Jaguar a few days ago. I purchased an '09 XJ 8 Vanden Plas and I'm a bit intimidated by all of the beeps. Right now, I'm experiencing this incessant beep when I come to a stop and then it ceases when I accelerate. I almost have a panic attack. No message, just the beep. What on earth is going on? I'm sure I'll have a lot more questions as I get used to this vehicle. I love it--I just want to know it. Please help me.

Welcome to the Forums.

'09 is a model change.

The X350 in Jag talk is up to part way thru '09, then the X351 took over.

The Tech sections for each are a bit further down teh home page.

Lots of this sort of query is discussed in the "stickies" at the top of each section.

Good luck.

Hello,
Congratulations on your new Jaguar!
All that beeping would drive me beeping nuts too! I hope you get that fixed.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome to the forum Double S,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

2009 was a model change year from the 2003 - 2009 XJ (X350) to the current 2009 Onwards XJ (X351). Could be either ......?

Default Thanks

I live in the Midwest-specifically Ohio. I purchased the supercharger and I think the beeping I heard was because I had the "S" button depressed and when I deactivated it, the beeping stopped. I am still trying to navigate myself around this site. I found the Control Panel area but I did not find the Edit Signature. Thank you for all of the welcomes. Double S
