New Member
Hi everyone,
My name is DDS8606. I’m a new owner to a used 2002 Jaguar X-Type 3.0. This is the first time I’ve been this interested in a vehicle, so I’m starting off with getting new keys cut and programmed and a new battery. I have a list with about 30 fault codes from an inspection at the dealership. So i'm hoping after changing the battery a lot of these codes will disappear.
Feel free to ask me anything or make any comments.
Thanks,
DDS8606

Welcome to the forum DDS8606,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
I also expect many of the codes should disappear with a new battery. However, you may find some are persistent and need to be cleared with a scantool.
I can see you've already found your way to the X-Type forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the US Central Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-central-36/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.
