Hello. My names Luke and have been driving older Jaguars for over ten years. However I have a xj6 x350 giving me a headache and thought the advice from other enthusiastic folk may help. So basically the abs error dsc is on the dash and showing up lots of faults in the scanner after a read out. This last read out was done by a very reputable Jaguar Indie garage. They feel that the previous owner may have fitted the incorrect abs pump to the car. Not the incorrect for the car so to speak but one that doesn’t match the computer within that particular Jaguar xj6. We have already checked the electrical wiring and the abs sensors and replaced the steering wheel sensor. We also have checked battery voltage and the alternator also appears to be fine.If it is the case this has happened my question would be how would I source a abs pump that fits the car and works if I do not have the original number from the original abs pump ?

Welcome. Id suggest looking at Jaguars parts listing. If there are different part numbers (& programming set ups) for the pump then the vin breakdowns will be listed there. Then you would have the correct part number to search for. Good luck.
