Hi all on Jag forums, I live in Papua New Guinea, Port Moresby.

I am married to a Thai so have a 1996 X300 Jaguar Sovereign in Bangkok a pearler of a find. Had been in storage for 13 years, is in mint condition and only 33K on the clock, color Teal Blue.

I imported to PNG from Japan with the plan of sending to Thailand a XKR Silverstone, once the headlining was replaced a sensational car and also XJR in Carnival Red, both have around 100k on the clocks.

Thai govt changed regulations which prevent me sending the cars there so I am stuck with two gems in PNG.

Still a little anxious with reliability problems as I did own a XJS that was a disaster from the day I got it.

What a vibrant forum, thanks the welcome messages.

Taking the XKR and XJR to Thailand is difficult as duty is calculated on "Customs valuation" which would mean paying 3 times what the vehicles owe me. Seems a scam as the vehicles are confiscated it not paid, too much risk.

Welcome to the forum Topcroc,

Good to have you here with us at Jaguarforums.

Follow Steve's link to the X300 section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forum.

Graham
