Hi just bought a clean and in, apparently, great shape 1998 XJ8 L. A couple of questions. How do I tell if its an X350 vs X358 v X308? Second, any recommendations for indy mechanics in the Melbourne, Florida area. According to the records, the previous owner had it serviced at Pep Boys!

Thanks in advance for any answers

Welcome to the forum DrB,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

It will be a steel bodied X308 manufactured from 1997-2003. This model was replaced by the aluminium bodied X350 (2003-2009) which was superseded by the current X351.

Follow this link XJ XJ8 / XJR ( X308 ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X308 forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
