New member Brisbane
Hello Jag world,
For my introduction as a new member of the Forum.
Last month I replaced my 1994 Porsche 928 with an F-Type 2024 Coupe.
I think had Porsche continued the 928s' it would very much resemble the F-Type in performance and looks.
I am in my 70s' and I live in Brisbane.
I was involved in the restoration and mechanical work required to keep the 928 alive.
I'm hoping not to have to start fiddling with the Jag.
A few surprises with the new car:
- no adaptive cruise control(which our 5 yo $40k Mazda has )
- no paper owners manual - really!! ( how do you access the iGuide anywhere west of Toowoomba ?)
- why would you stick a bloody big eyesore roundel on each door of a truly elegant classic like the F Type.
a few small bitches outweighed by all the good things I've found.
Can't see when/where I would ever get to feel the full potential of the car but it certainly looks like it's going fast even when it's parked.
To get a decent upholstery I had to buy the 'dirty white' colour. My first job is to change the colour with a vinyl wrap in midnight blue.
I'm thinking this will preserve the original paintwork as this model may be collectible in the future.
It seems this car has a lot of electrics so I have hooked up a trickle charger port in the wheel well ( without destroying anything)
I've removed the spare ( for suburban/city trips) and can now let my wife bring her handbag along. :^)
I'm looking forward to engaging with other 'fair dinkum' members on the forum, having been on a 928 forum for a number of years
I'm aware of the pitfalls of jumping into skirmishes and pet subjects, with 928s it was 'oil' I guess I'll soon find out what it is with Jags'.
All the best to all members.

Looks like you have a ZP Edition, and yes those roundels are a bit of a joke.
Looks like the ZP was the last hurrah of the AJ133 but maybe just maybe JLR will see the light and bring it back before the company goes under.
With F-Types the pet subjects are "best/correct oil?", "what is this rattle/noise/tick/clunk?", best tyres, best replacement coolant system pipes, best battery maintainer, best place/way to connect said maintainer and last but not least "what is this unplugged little white electrical plug near the battery?".
Also, meet your twin: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...4/#post2829539
Another 2024 F-Type ZP in off-white from Brisbane purchased recently, what are the odds!

Hi Guys,
thanks for the welcome, it really is strange that Jag would sell 2 so close, I think the other one might be from the gold coast.
seems like coolant pipes might be a 'thing' ? I hate to think of getting into that engine bay and haven't mined so deep to see the white plug.
I'm ready for learning alot.

Again, thank you for the welcome.
I have searched how to put vehicle details in my signature but don't seem to be able to find the CP option mentioned.
I have pasted from a word document this time but would like to have it imbedded in my posts automatically.
I have also searched handbooks but it appears there is no printable version of the F-Type 2024 iGuide.
Is it a thing ?, I have printed the Topix handbook and selectively printed 2024 iGuide sections to supplement but it's a bit of a mismatch.F-TYPE 2024 ZP Coupe Crystal Grey

Again, thanks for the welcome,
I did post this before but seem to have lost it's way.
I have searched how to add car details to signature but having trouble locating the CP mentioned.
Also has anyone seen a printable copy of the 2024 F-Type iGuide handbook ?
Cheers

Fairly sure JLR stopped producing printable (eg PDF) versions of the iGuides many years ago.
I suppose you could open each chapter/page of the iGuide on line, "save as" PDF, then stitch them all together to build a single printable PDF.
This is pretty much what the provider of my Workshop Manual did a few years ago (using Topix) but no-one does this any more.
It would take an eternity and more skills than I have to do it!

I completed it last night.
The limitations are that I edited out unnecessary pages (certifications conformities etc.) I removed some of the redundant warnings, cautions and notes.
I removed some references to convertibles and specs/capacities not related to 5L AWD.
I used the F -Type handbook JJM 10 02 35 141 as the base, printed it then printed each relevant 'new, 2024' section from the 2024 iGuide.
I scanned and combined them using the original Index and numbered the new pages to suit. I ended up with a complete 2024 F-type 5L AWD Coupe manual in PDF.
It's broken into 10 files each of 20-50 pages.
It's probably a good resource for a limited number, I'm happy to share it with other members if I knew how to give it to the forum.
Thanks for alerting me to the fact it wasn't available, I don't feel my trouble was wasted now.
