Hi Everyone,
It is nice to now be an official part of the forum. I recently purchased a 2008 XJ8 and have started to give her some love. This forum has been invaluable in that regard so I decided to make it official and join. This is a car that I have always wanted to own and so I perhaps bought my new to me car based a little more on emotion rather than smarts. My 08 silver Jag has a little over 100k miles and was a one family car, father and then son. It is in pretty nice shape and so far I am happy but am also aware of what comes with a high mileage kitty. I am a pretty decent mechanic and do all my own work if possible. I have already learned a bit about the EPB and the rear calipers as I had one sticking when I got the car home. I learned the details through this forum which got me through that first job along with learning that a good new battery solves a lot of electrical gremlins and ghosts!
I hope that at some point I will be able to give back with some gained knowledge. Looking forward to participating. Jason.
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums. The XJ looks in great condition and "one family" is a major plus.
I can see you've already found your way to the X350 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. Also no need for advice on batteries! The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
