Lightbulb New Member! Car noob but I want to learn

What's up everyone! I got a 2003 Jaguar X- Type, 2.5L v6 and I'm in love with it. It is in incredible shape for its age and I want to keep it that way. Have already used this site to change my spark plugs and I thought I'd make an account. Have some new issues after changing my spark plugs but I'll be sure to post them in the correct forum

Welcome. At least you have these forums. When I started I had to go to this big building in downtown that they called a library and borrow things they called books. Somehow the lay people on here explain things better than the writers of those technical manuals.

Welcome to the forums Bgrizzle,

Good to have you with us. If the CEL came on immediately after the plug change, it's likely to be nothing worse than an air leak on the inlet or a harness connector not snug.

I can see you've already found your way to the X-Type forum with this issue so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Southern Midwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/u...rn-midwest-67/ to find other members in your region.

Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.
