Default New Member Casting a TV Show about shopping for a Jaguar

Hi everyone! Though I am definitely a big fan of Jags (is it cool to call them that?) I'm no where near being lucky enough to own one. Maybe someday. I actually got to rent one a few years back to drive to a friend's wedding up in Northern California. It was the most luxurious car I have ever been in. I'd like to say I drove it, but I was hard pressed to get the keys from my husband. We actually drove it through a giant redwood tree. I think the tree was jealous.

Though I don't own one of these beauties, I joined the group because I have been tasked with finding someone who is in the market to buy one. I am a TV casting producer in Los Angeles and I'm working on a new show for The Esquire Network. I don't want to break any forum rules, so I won't post too much info here. I'm not even sure yet where I should post this info. I guess I'll jump around the site and try to figure it out.

Thanks for letting me be a part of the group. I hope one day I'll be able to post picks of my very own beautiful Jaguar.

Welcome to the forum Kelvis92,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

Are you looking for someone who will walk into the dealer and write a cheque for a brand new F-Type, someone who scans all the adds for an older model in great condition or someone who wants to restore a really old model from a rusting wreck?

It's definitely the kind of TV show (anything and everything to do with Jaguar!) our members watch and discuss so the chance to take part could interest some of them.

Let me know if we can help.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Default Welcome to Jaguar Forums

Welcome K ... and greetings from down under,

What an interesting intro and ... great quest. We have been blessed down here over many years in having a surprisingly broad range of celebs who have showcased a variety of their toys/hobbies from warbirds, cars, steam trains ... and the list goes on.

But, from what you have outlined, your project is bound to be a winner. Of course I'm biased about the Jaguar marque, but I'll bet that the dynamics of searching, evaluating, purchasing and then dealing with inevitable surprises of owning, enjoying, but maintaining an exotic or classic Jaguar sounds great. In the Australia - Queensland section, many of us (nearly 2000 views) have been following the saga of one of our new members working month-at-a-time on an oil rig in the South China Sea, trying to find back here, then buy, the ideal V12 XJS.

So, warm welcome; best wishes with your quest; and here's hoping we may see it down here,

Ken
