Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am a new member from Chicago, and a happy owner of a 2000 XJ8 4.0L (71K miles) Emerald Green Jaguar that I acquired last fall. Garage kept and sharply maintained by the previous original owner, she has created quite an interest in my neighborhood--not many of these models around this area in this condition!

I've visited here before, and am delighted to see so many enthusiasts and great technical information being offered. I also own a 1991 Corvette ZR1 (38K miles, still smells new!), so my Jag has a mate in the garage to keep her company.

So I'm still reeling in my 'honeymoon' phase with my Jaguar, love driving it and tinkering with her, and I get friendly waves from good looking strangers of the opposite sex quite frequently now. Methinks this is a good thing!

Cheers, Jimmy

Hello, Jimmy,
Sometimes the only thing that delineates the honeymoon from the rest of life is time.

In a couple years you'll still be enjoying your car like you are today, but by then it will be expected and the usual thing and so no more honeymoon. That's how it is with my car.

Welcome from ElinorB.
