I have had over 70 cars that I have driven on a regular basis, most of them Lincolns, but I have been open to try any car that stands out to me. I fell in love with Jaguars when I test drove the all new Lincoln LS. At that point back in 1999 I did not know that it was basically a Jaguar. When I drove it I was blown away and told everyone that it was the best driving car I had ever been in. When I found out that it was a Jaguar, I looked at the brand deeper and fell in love. Back then I bought the Lincoln LS and loved it for 110,000 miles. Wanting a Jaguar I experimented with an old 1995 XJ6 and found it to be a great car. Since then I lusted for a newer Jaguar especially for an "R" model. When I came across the 2008 XKR with only 32,000 miles on it, Last year, I could not resist adding it to my garage for my 40th birthday (wife called it my Mid-Life Crisis). Although, then I needed a daily driver that was up to that level that could hold the wife and kids also. So, I traded my 2016 Lincoln MKS for the 2016 XJL Portfolio. Wow what a difference!!! Even my wife says it was well worth the expense to upgrade.
Now the problem is going to be what could I possibly upgrade to when I am done with these fine cars. BMW, Mercedes, Audi, I think not! Come on Jaguar, I hope the next XJ is as awesome as the current one. As far as I am concerned non of them are as posh as the Jaguar.

Welcome to the board. The Lincoln LS is indeed a great car. It basically has a Jaguar engine just with a slightly smaller displacement. They didn't have the faulty tensioner problem either from what I know.
Very Nice!
You are Not the first one in here to fall in love with your new Jaguar! You are in Very good compaly!
