I just bought my first 2002 Jaguar XK8 convertible with 70,000 miles. First week the hydraulic front latch broke (showing me with fluid) and the front fog lamps keep shorting out. Such is life when buying a used car and when the weather gets warmer I plan on replacing all the hoses and sending the other pieces to be rebuilt. So far I love driving the car and can't wait for the weather to improve so I can take a few longer drives. The forum has been great for just general reading and problem solving. Thanks for all the great DIY posts.

Welcome to the forum BStreet,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

It sounds like you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Central Region forum by following this link US Central - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham,

I've updated the signature (wasn't sure how to) following your notes. I also would like to thank you for doing all this work on the site.

Congratulations on your First Jaguar!
The first time I read about hydraulic convertible tops I was Astonished! I've only known of manual fold down or electric tops. They Never showered passengers with Green Slime!!

Welcome to the forums form ElinorB.
