Hello to all from a retired old guy who just found this forum. I have owned a couple of big Healey's in my youth, then graduated to Jaguars...a willow green series 1 XJ6 that I bought in Germany when stationed there in 1971, then an XK150S roadster, two E types and a silver 1986 XJ. I must say I loved the E types best, but only when they weren't overheating or losing oil, or both. I am now in between Jaguars, but can't shake the addiction...looking forward to the photos and discussions.

Welcome to the forum John,

Good to have you here with us at Jaguar forums. Once owned, Jaguar will never let you go.

Follow this link E type ( XK-E ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the E-Type section to bring back the memories of your favourite. The other tech sections will help you decide which is the next model for you!
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top of each tech section is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

You can also visit the US Southern MidWest Region section by following this link Southern MidWest - AR LA MS KY TN AL - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forum.

Graham

Thank you Catman, Graham and Steve for the welcome, and Graham thanks also for providing some forums of interest...both are bookmarked. I look forward to visiting this site often...I'm not much on posting but like to "lurk" and learn. I'll work on getting 10 posts in so I can be a "fully accredited" member however.

John,

You shouldn't have any trouble getting your first 10 posts. A few photos of your previous Jaguars would be a great start.

Thank you Norri. Right now I have a large Infiniti Q56 for travel back and forth to our condo in Florida with my semi-invalid wife (spine surgery with issues), an FX 45 that was hers, now pretty much driven around town occasionally, and a aged Porche Boxter. As noted earlier, I have no Jags now, lust for them, but having retired financial considerations preclude such a purchase, at least for now. We just bought a house on the island also and will be relocating to Amelia Island, FL. this late fall, hoping to sell out here and, having done so, perhaps have a little more disposable $ since we now have three homes to support. Meanwhile, I peruse the "car ****" on this truly interesting forum.
John
ps: someday I'll regale you with a tale of nursing a broken XJ7 through Italy and the Alps with a pregnant wife to get back to our duty station and get the old girl repaired (meaning the car, of course!).

JIm C64, I'm sorry for the delayed reply...been traveling to close on a new home in Florida and just got back to TN. I would note that I opened the regional forum list and it appears that TN is not listed! I know there is a group out of Knoxville, as I buy my Infiniti's and the Porsche from Tom Harper there and have friends who go to tech sessions and shows that he sponsors. Talk about hurt feelings!!
