Default New member from Finland sent greetings

Hello all!

As new member I 1st say Thank You for everybody here.
About 2 years ago I noticed that my ride started get old and tired and I start to look new wheels. I live in Finland, where vehicle import tax are huge. Donīt ask how big it is, itīs just huge. This keep value of the vehicles quite high, even when used. So, as many local petrol heads I did search what are available in Germany, where tax are "normal". My main choise back then was MB CLS or S. Chosen allready few candinates and booked flights ..... But:
It happens so that my heart generated nasty event, caused by work related stress and I ended on pipes and hoses on hospital.

Once i realised that it was not my time to enter the petrol heads heaven yet, I started to think "what the hell" and changed my search criterias for new wheels.
Found MY2010 XJ (x351) 3.0D Portfolio, 150tKm (90t miles), one previous owner, clean, serviced, 12months powertrain warranty with the price suitable for my budget.
Before I went Germany to get the XJ, i read lot of this forum, learning all the weak points, issues, possible faults etc, so i had superior knowhow to check that the vehicle was Ok, before I hand over the money for the clerk.

I am skilled DIY, i have all bells and whisles for up to repair transmissions if needed, so I was not afraid to source allready 90t miiles driven vehicle. (my previous vehicle had over 280t miles when i let it go)
Now, after 1― years, i have +200tKm / 125t Miles on clock, and XJ have been running without any problems, even the enviroment are sometimes quite harsh here. (winter.. )

Again: Big thanks for the forum members for sharing problems and solves.

Some pictures.of my XJ here:

Stay safe!

Welcome to the forums Vasara,

Good to have you with us.

It sound like you've already found your way to the X350 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the Europe Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/europe-42/ to find other members in your region.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Hello,
I'm sorry about your hospital stay. That does Not sound the slightest bit enjoyable.
Congratulations on your new Jaguar though, very nice looking example.
