Hi everyone !
I've spent a week scanning your forum and, wow!, loads of really useful, pratical information. I'm now the proud owner of a X300 3.2 Sport from 1995. Years ago, as a young man in the UK, I had a series 2 XJ6, then a XJ/ Daimler Coupé (really sorry to sell that one !) and my favorite, a 1967 420G, which used for the photo shoot for front cover of the book "Classic Jaguar Saloons". Unfortuately, moving to France back in the '80s ment it was just too expensive to run. So really pleased now to get back in the saddle of a Jag !

1st question (if anyone has read this far !) Any suggestions of a neat way to fit a standard GPS (mine's a Garmin) to the X300 dash without it looking too trashy ?

Welcome to the forum cafran,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

It sounds like you've already found your way to the X300 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the Europe Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/western-us-ak-ca-nv-ut-hi-wa-id-38/
to find other members in your region.

My preference for Phone/SatNav mounting brackets is Brodit:

ProClip mounting platform for vehicles | Brodit

Enjoy the forums.

Welcome.

I went thru that same thought when I had the X300, NAH, so the wife has it on her lap and tells me where to go, REALLY.

Now we have the S Types, same scenario, she tells me where to go, works well.

HOWEVER, we rarely use it now. Last time was to navigate across Melbourne Vic, God awful city to get across without paying for the privelage.

Many thanks for the replies.
I'll certainly take a good look at the Brodit Proclip. Not sure if I want to go so far as having my wife telling where to go, though !
Cheers
