New member with I-Pace on order
Hello everyone,
My name is Jelle van der Meer living in the Netherlands with my wife and 2 kids (5yrs & 7yrs)
Last week my Jaguar I-pace order got finalized as my new company car, it will be my first experience driving Jaguar. Delivery of the car is expected at very end of 2018 with fingers crossed it gets delivered in 2018 else I will need to cancel due to fiscal reasons.
Fiscal benefit is also the main reason for choosing the I-pace as income tax on I-pace is just €152 a month instead of €600+ for similar luxurious cars like Audi A6, BMW 5 serie etc.
My car history is Ford Focus, Seat Ibiza, Skoda Fabia and currently Skoda Octavia since March 2014, with a secondary car being Hyundai I10. True not the most exciting list of cars so looking forward to driving a Jaguar.
To be honest I would have preferred the Tesla Model S unfortunately it was just out of reach of my lease budget. Main reason for wanting Tesla over Jaguar is the practicality of charging the battery. I have no range anxiety but charging anxiety due to Jaguar unbelievable stupid decision to only build in single phase charging instead of triple which means that for 95% of charging stations in NL, the speed is just 3.5kw or if lucky 7.0kw instead of triple that.
Seriously hope they will still fix/correct this in the next 6 month as it will make it so much easier together with a quick and large expansion of DC chargers infrastructure in NL and rest of Europe.
Greetings
Jelle
